Hello all!

I got out to a location today that has been pounded pretty hard by a few other detectors over ther years.... It is a small field that used to have a homestead on it... there have been 30+ copper pulled from this small site and I had been there twice before... netting a few buckles (horse tackle) and 1 '59 Fatty IH...

I dug a button within 5 minutes of arriving... nothing to fancy... if fact the front it smooth...

I got am iffy but decent 15/45 signal @ 4-5" and decided to dig it... Well out pops Mr. Sq nail... :-( I recheck the hole and now Mr 15/45 is rock stedy... but 2-3" to the right...

Hello Large and Green! You can sorta make out the 1835 ...

Good going Paul! That is a nice large cent. At least you could read the date. The only one I found was this year (after detecting for forty years) and mine I had to make a tracing with paper and a lead pencil to get a date off of it. You got a nice one and real old. Sounds like you found a good place to detect. Keep up the good work. Ken
