Found this at an old site ware there was an old house at one time I.deed on another site.

don't. Know about that it was found in Illinois. I till have to research it more tommorow

I was thinking that since I keep some of the better finds in a scrap book should I clean the plate since it seen the light again it really turning green from the patina! I was thinking about frameing it with some what I think are civil war era bullets (which I need to verify) and hanging it on my wall or not do anything to it and donate it to the city museum ware I found it? It would be hard to let it go but then it is a nice piece of history to hoard it.
Opinions anyone?

You seem to be pretty stern about that so I'm not going to clean it LOL! Think I will frame it and keep it awile before donateing it ,The local meusem may not even want it!
I was going to frame it with some bullets I found if I can verify there civil war bullets I found these in a different place in a field by my brothers house ware General George Bushrod Johnson
owned and lived in the 1850's. I have alot of lead from this field a few indian head pennys,1902 V-nickel and some other older coins all newer than the civil war time period.
I also pulled a button that I think was from a civil war uniform.I posted some pics here maybe someone can chime in to let me know if all this is from the right time period to be in frame together.

Great finds but I think you are wrong about the button. It is military for sure but most likely from WW1 or WW 2. I just found one exactly like it.

Thanks for the heads up on the button Thats what I was looking for to verify weather or not all the items are correct in the same time period.
So far I'v got the two bullets and the plate.

Great score on the plate!! The button IS ACW, as it is a Staff Officers Coat button Here is one I found a couple of years ago. HH MO
