1853 Kind Of Day!

I hunted another field today and found two seated half dimes! A new record for me! Never found more than one in any day in the last 30 years of detecting. Interesting they were both 1853 plus I got the 1853 dime. All Philadelphia mints too. The 2 cent is trashed but it's the 5th one so far this year and another personal best! All of them were found with the WOT. The first half dime was deep but a good signal. The second one was almost on top of the ground mixed in with trash. The dime was another one on edge. At least I didn't scratch this one! The 71 Indian is probably the best one (date and condition) to come out of this field.

OK Kieth That's it. Next weekend I'm coming down do see you. You cant hide all those seated coins from me. <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol"> <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol"> <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol"> Great finds Kieth. Sure was a surprise when it popped out. I didn't expect it at all!

Just look for the old ones that have coins <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D">

You just keep taking names week after week. Great finds.......hope I can match them someday.

It took about 20 years to find these coins actually............I have known about these spots for a while but finally got my act together and did the research to find the owners and get permission to hunt them. Also it was critical that I had a hunting buddy! If it hadn't been for Guy I would never have found the hot spots!
