1855 Love Token........

I picked up this neat 1855 with Arrows Seated Liberty Quarter from a coin/antique dealer the other day. It has the letter "M" on it. (My first initial) I entered it at the club meeting in the misc. category, and won. This category is only winter months and it has to be a non-detected find. I also won the coin category with a 37 buffalo nickel.

That is a neat one - congrats on the win !
Do you know what a "worry " coin is ? Some nervous people carry a silver coin, usually a large one, and frequently have it in their hand for comfort or whatever. My grand father had a silver dollar like that, all worn away. One time I detected a half dollar that was worn away like that, a silver Barber I think. Steve in so az

I have heard of them. I know of guys who carried them when I was in high school. They carried them with their pocket change just to see how long it took to wear them down. I have had that cross nickel with my change that Bernie gave to me for about 5 years now.

Had your initial on the coin, sooo was meant for you, Mike, me son and Congrats on winning! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
