1903 Barber Dime with error

Yesterday while hunting a park I found a 1903 Barber Dime. The "1" from the date is missing. It appears to be a mint error. I'm not sure if it's worth more or less because of the error but it's an interesting find. It's in pretty decent shape. Good detail. You can see all the letters of LIBERTY. It registered as 16-44 and was about 5 inches deep. Man, I love finding silver!

That is cool.... Have it checked to see if it is an actual error. Errors can go for big bucks.

That's a huge error. Never seen one like that before. I'd check into that. You can E mail PCGS about it. I wouldn't let a dealer talk you out of that one. See what it's worth first!!! GREAT FIND!!!

I don't know if that was from a defective die or just some grease got in the 1 in the die and produced that 903. I have seen lots of modern coins that that has happened to. Fantastic find none the less!!!! Big time congrats!!!!!

sweeeeeet find great job on that one!!
