1903 House Gives Up A Couple More Keepers :minelab:

After a hectic day at work, starting up a new system, I needed a little break. So, I stopped at the same 1903 house that gave up the goods last Friday. I only got about a half hour of hunting in before the rain started, but it was a good half hour. I ended up digging the two buttons pictured below. I need to do a little property research to see if there was an older house on the property at one time as the two buttons were found very near the area that both Parry Mfg. buggy tokens were found.

The first button is a Great Seal military button with a back mark that reads "HORSTMANN - PHILA". Near as I can tell, this particular button was produced between 1893 and 1935.

The second button I have no idea on its age or origin. The back has no marking and is made of iron. The front is (I believe) copper and is a very interesting design. It gave me a real odd signal, with enough of a repeatable, high squeak to get me to dig it. If anyone has any info on the second button, I would appreciate hearing about it.

Happy Hunting,

wtg willy1970. The military buttons can be worht some bucks:detecting:
Good finds and what coil were you using? I might put my wot coil back on for a spell.

Thanks for the comments guys. DBD, I am using the stock 11" pro coil. I have the 8x6 SEF on order from Kellyco, but they're currently back ordered. There are some VERY trashy spots in this yard that I'm dying to hit with a smaller coil. I hunted with a buddy a few weeks ago that was running the 15" wot on his ExpII -- that coil is pretty impressive too.

GL & HH,
Jeff

Thanks, Bryce -- it means a lot, Buddy. Yup, there's been a whole lot more smiling going on while hunting lately. These machines are amazing, once you start to get dialed in with them. The X-1 probe is a Godsend too. In the trashy areas I've been hunting, where you end up with 3, 4, 5 different targets in the plug and hole, it makes it almost effortless to zero in on the keeper.

BTW, I hope you're getting out hunting and that your Dad is still on the mend.
Take care,
Jeff :minelab:
