1916 Mercury dime

Popped the plug and this fell out head side up! I thought to myself there’s no way it’s going to have a mint mark! I about died when I saw a mint! I’m pretty sure it’s a S though. I’m happy to have found it though. Also found a few wheats.

Yep s I just found one in an old mining camp in very nice shape was hoping to see a D but it was a Philadelphia

Congrats on the dime. I found a "d" once but ended up selling it. I wish I had kept it now but I made good money for it. Nice Hunt !!!

I know the feeling! I've dug several 1916 mercs and it always gets the heart pumping a bit faster. It's disappointing though to not see a mintmark or to see an S rather than a D. Best of luck and...
