They don't let you sell what you find where you live in Germany?
Over here you can sell almost everything you find. Alum trash, brass keys, lead weights, gold jewelry, silver jewelry, silver and gold coins, old tokens, relics of the past of every sort and, of course, bottles.

What gives the hobby a bad name is the sour grapes attitude that you are displaying over someone elses good fortune. What do you think we do with all the gold and silver we find?

Am I missing something here? What gives detectorists a bad name? Is it because he wants to sell it? BUY (or find), SELL, PROFFIT makes the world go round.
That is a beautiful, BEAUTIFUL coin.

Fantastic find Crusher. It is a hobby everyone does as he wishes. I spend all my found money. Sometimes as soon as I get it.
When I get enough jewelry I send it in. I am not a collector. I just go out and find coins for the fun of it.
