1940s Hopalong Cassidy Ring

Well-known member
I purchased a Makro Racer a couple weeks ago to give my bad arm a rest as I usually swing a heavier machine.
Ring was found Wednesday after work.
All other finds were made over the weekend.
The penny clump is actually 8 wheat pennies fused together because of a fire.
Indian head penny is 1905 and was about 9 inches deep.
The Washington token is actually a 1960s Washington funeral coin reproduction.
I have been running 3 tone with 80-90 gain. I am still a Makro newby but it was fun to get out and make a few finds.

His ring was found at a pounded to death park that nobody detects anymore. I was with when he found the penny clump and looks cooler than the pic. And yes, he is catching on to the Racer pretty good.

I love that ring. I keep a reference library for collectables I'm interested in and years ago I added a book on premium rings. Many look similar, like this Tom Mix ring and that's not the only one that's close in design motif and shape. My photo is fuzzy and the shoulders of the ring are not clear enough to compare, but I don't think they match. I did see the same ring as yours advertised as a Hopalong ring in beautiful shape for $89.
HH!

Gotta love those hunted out parks lol. Congrats on the ring and other saves.

That is awesome! This company makes great detectors to include the Nokta side of the company!
