1982 class ring return.

4 years ago, I found this class ring at my local fairgrounds towards the back of the grounds near the horse arenas. It was about 8 inches down and still looked fairly new. I always wanted to find a class ring and return it. That was a bucket lister of sorts to me. It took me 3 years to find the owner. I eventually was able to locate the guy by contacting the school superintendent. It was brushed off at first (for 2 years actually) but I eventually got some cooperation through contact with the school superintendent. He posted my photos and a brief description on the school district Facebook page. Within a few days, the owner was recognized and contacted.

Oddly enough, I found a second class ring later that same day about a mile away at a local elementary school in a grassy area between the playgrounds and the ball diamonds. It is a tiny 10 k gold 1969 class ring and found with Tesoro Cibola. It was very deep (9 to 10 inches). The ring in photo above was found with my old AT Pro. Strange that I found 2 class rings in one day and never any before or since.

Good public relations, nice job!!!

I recently found my first class ring too and am currently trying to locate the owner.
I called the high school early last week, but have not heard back from them yet
This one has the owners complete name in it and is class of 2001.
I hope it does not take as long as yours to get back to the owner.
Again, congrats on two great finds and the return!

Your's shouldn't take long with a full name. Maybe try finding the school district page on Facebook. It worked for me and I am not even on Facebook. Congratulations on the ring though.
