1st Class Ring??

About 3" down I thought that just maybe, just maybe, I had found my first class ring. But, it was not to be. Instead it turns out to be a United States Navy ring in gold (filled). Noted the tarnish right off the bat; didn't get to excited. But, it sure is heavy!! Inscription reads: 10K Gold Filled, and VDI was hitting 79 to 80.

It's still a ring and a Navy ring at that. I'm sure the owner was depressed when it was lost. Great detecting and thanks for sharing. HH, Nancy
