When to the old park and hunted in the woods, had my sharpshooter coil on, Get a nice tone and my readings were bouncing around 67-75 and 4-5'' deep.My thoughts were I have a wheat penny, out comes a ------I think a train wheel------ check the hole with the pin pointer, something still in there,I get a penny and see its a Memorial,re check the hole, another penny,re check and another penny. I found 19 Memorial Penny's from 1959-1976. These pennies were 6''x10'' area. What is crazy is there are some more there,my pin pointer died and I'm spoiled using it.I didn't feel like getting a hand full of dirt and checking with the coil. I did mark the spot and will see how many more are there next time out. Hey its a penny---------after1-----------

That's one heck of a pocket spill after 1, my largest pocket spill is four pennies. Just a think if a guy got a silver spill like that, they would have to take me to the hospital with a heart attack.

I went to a closed outdoor drive-in and hunted a tree line where I knew everyone relieved themselves over the years, there were piles of coins everywhere, you might have found the same thing for the park.:buds:

Petty thieves and the homeless here use the drainage/flood control ditches as their own little private highways. While detecting a public part I was hunting an area where two of these ditches came together and evidently(my guess anyway) I found a spot where someone had decided to clean up the loot from what was probably a stolen jar of pocket change from someones night stand,,,,they didn't want the pennies and just cast them away , zincs and coppers, 138 of them in a 5'x5'area.:(

I probably missed a few

Musket balls breed as well it seems. I found these in an area that was about 10' X 15' . The total area was about double that and no musket balls around at all. I went back a few months later and found 10 more musket balls in the same area. They were all between 5 and 7 inches deep. The rest of the stuff was found around that area but not with the musket balls.

I when back to the spot where my Pin Pointer die and found 10 pennies and a nickle.A first for me---------after1--------
