1st Hunt with my G2 gives me my first Gold item, and V Nickle

we just got hit with freezing rain and alot of snow is coming! it will be weeks before i can get out to play. talk about cabin fever! that G2 is an amazing detector. ive used alot of detectors over the years and none will even come close to this machine.. its simple, nice display, very light and fits me perfectly,1 9v battery, response time is incredible. since the 1970's ive maybe dug 5 coins deeper than 7 or 8 inches, best i can remember anyway, and have dug coins from 1789 at 5in deep and coins 7 or 8in that were only 10 or so years old. all of my jewlery finds have been 6in or less. so this machine may not be the deepest on the market but after how it showed up my mxt pro im very impressed. most machines ive owned, several whites, garretts and even tesoro have nulled out in alot of the places ive hunted. lots of iron bits that make it very hard to ground balance, mxt was impossible, but the G2 jumped in and said lets get um~!

All of these excellent reports on the G2's perfomance makes me want one to bad I don't have a iron infested site to justify buying one, no snow here but it just won't stop raining for more than a day, supposed to get colder with more rain and possibly freezing rain and snow, ahh well the joys of living in La. hot one day cold the next.

: hershey1, I still love my E-Trac, but this place was too trashy even for the X5 coil. But nothing finds the silver like E-Trac.

basstrackerman, I hope the weather lets up for you soon. I know you are ready to hunt. It is just a fun machine to use.

digginLa, I'll say this on top of it being great in iron. It sounds off on gold like you can't believe, and is suppose to be a relic monster. I would really consider either of these are what you hunt.
