Had an interesting call today. I run a Craiglist add to help people find lost wedding rings ect. and I get a call once in a while. I don't charge for doing it, if it's not too far away. So the lady calls and says she lost her platinum wedding band on the local beach and has a hunch where it is. The rest is history, hope you enjoy the short video. Happy hunting!

What an awesome story for a return, the woman was in tears to see her ring and sure happened in a hurry. Good show

Very nice and great video. Your a good man. Congrats to you for finding her ring. :clapping:

Congratulations on a Job well Done. I kept wanting the lady to get out of your way and let you detect.

Wonderful to see people's reaction to good people like yourself doing good service for others. Whether it's returning a lost wedding ring or some other service, the payoff is their reaction and love reciprocated! WTG!

I would like to see your add on Craigslist

Thank you for the great image building for detectorists

LOVE that vid...... many thanks for sharing. and as mentioned. the pleasant reaction is payment enough. :)

btw..... that link from c/l doesnt work. :(

Touching video... she had a very good idea where she lost it..she may have even uncovered it when she rubbed her hand in the sand just prior to you finding it..great story, congrats..

Good job! :clapping:
This is the mode that I like the MD, the location and return, the face of this lady ... not paid with money, great video.
thanks for sharing

I copied and pasted my add from CL, so you all could get some ideas on an add. Not saying it's good, just that it has worked for me.

Metal detector for hire You lost it, I'll find it. Why buy an expensive metal detector just to find your valubles? I'll come out and find your lost wedding ring or family eirloom you dropped. It's free of charge, for me to look for your lost item, and I get to keep any other stuff I find. If I have to travel over 25 miles, (from my Coeur d'Alene home), there will be a small negotiable fuel fee. I'd be glad to help you. Just call Mark at 208-640-6160c

Awesome story & video, you're a good man, thanks for sharing!

The add link does work, but I have to renew it like every three days it seems. According to CL rules a free service like this should be up for 7 days I thought. So I have to keep renewing them all the time. Kind of a hassle but worth it when it brings a call. I also have in my add, that I keep everything else I find. (Most old homes have 2 or 3 rings, silver coins, ect. in the lawn). So If it gets me into another property with permission it is a great lead for a new spot. If your from a small town this can get you in when no one else can. Happy hunting!

"I love it when a plan comes together!!"

Awesome video.....thanks for sharing.

You're an asset and an outstanding ambassador to the hobby.

HH y'all.

bootyhoundpa;
It might have looked like she uncovered it with her hand during the explanation, but I reviewed the video and it was a short way away from her hand sweeps. Watch it again and mark the ring with debri and you'll agree. Thanks for watching!
