1st seeded hunt

Went to my first seeded hunt today with my club. Came away with 2 silver half's and 5 pennies. Also a 22 cal. dropped bullet. I dug about 75 targets in 3 hours the rest was junk. Will take a different approach with my next hunt and start out looking just for silver and then switching later in the day. Had a great time. Thanks for looking.

How much did the hunt cost? How much did they plant? How many participated? I've donated some coins to a few clubs but never participated as a detectorist.

Silver halves are pretty rare at least for me so nice finds even if they are plants!

Different experience for you.. Good finds in that hunt !

Yup I use only the 250. I love it. Also just got the propointer and Love that just as much. The halfs popped right out so didn't need the pointer for them but made finding the rest a breeze. the most targets I have dug before yesterday was about 25 to 30 in the same time frame about 3 hours so you can see how much it helped I love my Garrett tools. WOOOOHOOOOO:garrett::thumbup:

Those seeded hunts are a blast! I take it there is a silver coin for each of those bad looking pirates on each side of you. :cheekkiss:

Oh yeah John they are my crew. Will be taking them next time. They love md,ing also.

Too cool!:clapping:Man, I love it! Double congrats on the silver! I've found a few in my day, but it's been a loooooooooooong time.:wiggle:Glad the kids get to join in. Man, that is some good quality time.

Looks like you and your crew had a great time! Good for you. I gotta get into a club I would love to do a seeded hunt one time!:garrett:

Any time you can get a youngster to embrace the notion that fun and adventure can be had in the actual outdoors without a computer or the latest and greatest gaming system on the market,...........now that's a target worth digging for.

I'm planning a trip with my daughter, hopefully this Saturday, to an old ghostown about an hour north of home, nothing but foundations remain. It should be a cool place to visit even if we don't find any keepsakes. I'll get some pictures either way.

Keep those young'ns busy and they'll stay out of trouble.
