Nice shield nickel!! Believe it or not yours is in nice shape for a field find. Both I've found this year are very hard to read due to farmers fertilizer. Congrats!

Guess I missed this post earlier. Great find and as mentioned yours looks better than most. It was a common practice to hole coins to string inside clothing.
