Feels great to get out and enjoy-hope the snow recedes. I'm waiting for a couple of weeks for the schools to build back up. Had a good week with my Compadre last week. If cosmetic jewelry counted, I would be rich. That thing finds every piece of metal, depending on where you set the disc. level. Couple of weeks ago I was just above a/m mode and found a pen refill-it had picked up the ball bearing in the plastic refill!

Hi Gunnar

I just joined the Compadre club, I bought one from your buddy, Mike Parks, owner of Mission Metal Detector Sales. He is a great guy, and told me on the phone that he had two early Compadres with the 7 inch coil that were 'closet queens' and were just like brand new. So I bought one of them and recieved it last Friday in the mail. I put it together and tried it out in my 'coin garden', this one must be one of the 'hot' units that JB(MS) has talked about in past posts. It hit on every target in the garden, with some of the buried coins being rather deep. Sweet little detector. I have some old use sites that I am going to try it out on and hopefully bring in some of those old masked coins that I know are still there waiting to be found. Good luck this spring Gunner:tesoro:

PS: The coin garden described in this post was carefully built about 15 years ago and the silver coins, 1 gold ring, 2 Buffalo nickels and copper pennies are in a natural settled state of soil matrix. This is my buddies and mine practice green.

ya good hunting with the compadry, thear is plenty of good finds left and they can pick out the smallest things as slingshot has stated
