1st two indian head cents of the year. A beauty and a beast !

We went directly from frost season to mud season but I'll take the mud !!! Managed to rescue a couple of indian head cents and a school bus token from the muck this morning. The 1890 cleaned up beautifully after a short peroxide bath but the 1883 didn't fair as well. Looks like someone tried to cut it in two. Hoping for a few rainless days to get things dried out !

If at-least one of my Indians was that nice every time I would gladly take a beast.

I've found a couple of real high grade indians that ended up that chocolate color after H2o2 bath. Never see this with lower grades of coins, not at least that I can remember.

Wonder why? Have you seen the same?

Good to see you on here Ed. I remember reading your old post on tuning your machine and hunting in all metal to learn. Nice digs and thanks so much for sharing that article years ago.
