1st War Nickel w/Explorer

I'm really starting to get the hang of this beast after 6 months...whew! Almost gave up a few times too! Had only a little time today after work went to my favorite old park, to the same area I've been pounding for 24yrs. Found a 45' and 47' wheat and my first war nickel with my Explorer, a 1943 S. I had decided I was going to dig pulltabs...and I did, for which I was glad. This was found in heavy trash with my 6' SunRay coil. Man that little dude can sniff um out of the junk. Thanks for write-up on this coil Bryce, this thing kills in the trash!

Great find Aaron.......the war nickels are great finds "silver!".....I didn't post it here but I did find 3 of those today and a couple of mercs. I'm kinda getting the hang of identifying them by the numbers and the sound in pinpoint on the SE.

WOW! 5 silvers in one day...now thats a great day!

Good job Aaron. I'm glad the SE is starting to click for you. I know you will be finding more.

I plan on blowing off work right after lunch because of the 70 degree november IL temps.

NO way my priorities are messed up:crylol:....70 degrees in November so I can hunt... or work?? Hmmm...wonder which I'll choose in a couple of hours.:bouncy:

Gonna' meet up with a hunting buddy at a site he says is so trashy...he loses his appetite.

If you knew Darrell...you would realize the magnitude of that statement.

Again...keep up the good work. there's more waiting for you.:clapping:

70* sounds fantastic! Right now, it is 36* here is SLC, High today is supposed to be 39*. Similar tomorrow.

Enjoy it while you can. In a month or so it will be snow, below 0* temps, and granite hard ground.
