My dad lined me up a house that the guy that lives there was born and raised there and it was an old house then. He is 83. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt="
"> So me and dad went there. It was nasty hunting, I didn't have the patience for that today so I told him we will go to the lot where I found the thimble and stuff the other day. He was just watching.
Hunted there a half hour or so and my mom called dad and wanted him home before dark. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt="
"> I dropped him off and told him I was going back cause I wasn't quitting till I found some silver! <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt="
">
Well, I did but not coins! Found silver thimble #2 and a few feet away found silver thimble #3!!! <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt="
">
The third one had what I am assuming a rotted brass thimble on top of it. I don't think they were made like that. The silver one is made with no top and is in awesome shape. The pictures of it does not do it any kind of justice at all. The smashed on has intials on it. Neither are as fancy as the first one though.
Also found a cool little silver pin.
The little oval brass bowl/plate or whatever thing was 12"-14" deep and the buckle was at least 10".
Only 3 wheats but I only hunted probably an hour and a half total today.
