I guess if a guy is only going to dig 2 coins on a hunt, for a silver hunter, the 2 I got are pretty good ones to get. I was trying to decide this morning while driving to the woodlands where on it I wanted to hunt. I remembered there was one end of a plot of woods I had only made a couple of token passes through usually ending up there near the end of a hunt. Ultimately, walked a road directly to the area and began hunting the end strip. The 1880 Morgan dollar came first. 6" deep and pretty much totally on edge. Nice 92-94 reading. It was to big for my water bottle, so tore off a piece of my dew rag and wrapped it up in it. About ten yards away got a nice 89-90 reading. Pushed my Predator Little Eagle shovel into the soft ground and immediately hit roots. Got off to the side of the target several inches and began chopping the cluster of small roots. Finally got enough busted up where I could bend and break them and then checked the hole with the Pro pin pointer. Got a good vibration smack in the center of the hole. Started scraping dirt away by hand and resting on a big root about 5" deep I spotted the outline of a big smokey disc. She was pretty stained from resting on and being covered by roots, but still a nice pretty 1917s Standing Liberty half dollar. She makes my 5th silver half dollar for this month. Got a 1950 Canada half a few days ago out of a small park with my Omega. As mentioned, those were the only coins I dug his morning, but did manage a few other targets. Lighters, dog tags and keys. F 75 LTD with the 11 DD coil. The boost mode might have been the difference for getting these 2 coins, as was hunting over a 4-6" bed of dry and wet leaves. HH jim tn
Two fantastic coins! Have you found many of those silver dollars before? If I had the propensity to jump around like an idiot on a find, which I dont, it would be for something like that! You sure are having an awesome year so far!

Near mid 70's here for us as well. Under a tornado watch right now. HH jim tn
