Finally had a chance to get out, great weather, ground thawed, and an desire to dig. Only had a couple hours and headed to the Park 1/2 mile from me. Got out of the car, walking to the slope where the sledders had been, on the ground were two bills, a $1 and a $10. I thought it was going to be a good day. I took my time slowly swinging the Explorer finding a quarter, a dime, a couple pennies before I hit a deeper signal(deeper than surface clad). I dug my first wheatie(1909), then another 1940. I slowed down and hit a low tone which turned out to be a 1943 War Nickel. I just continued to hunt slow and popped out the 1883 Indian, and the alarm went off as I got my last signal and what a pleasant surprise pulling out the 1868 2 Cent piece. What a way to end the day I was thinking looking along the ground as I walked back to the car. That's where I found the iPod(which works). Shame every day isn't like this!! To be honest, if I hadn't found anything I'd have been happy just to get out and play in the dirt!! The goodies just make it sweeter!!
One of those two centers is on my wish list. HH.
