Found a 1864 2 cent piece today along with a 1935 buffalo Nickle.
Also a 1899 Indian Head penny and a 1944 Merc and assortment of belt buckles.

I'll post some pics soon

Omega 8
11 inch coil
90 sensitivity
discrimination 40

Nickle came in at 55-57
Penny came in at 71-74
2 cent piece came in at 74-79
Merc came in at 85

all were about 3-4 inches

That is a nice mixed bag of coins. What type of site were you hunting?

WTG!!!!

Another first today!
a 1900 V Nickle
Back at the same home site that was built in 1937
Lots of woods next to the house ( where i found the V Nickle
The other coins were close to the road on the way to the mail box :)

Odds are you haven't cleaned it out yet, so best of success on future visits. The Omega is a very good detector, for sure, and I appreciate you adding your settings. Curious, however, what the Ground Phase reading was as well as which Tone ID you preferred to use at the site?

Good luck!

Monte

I always use 3 tones / not sure why just seems to be where i have started with the machine.
ground phase 62

The V Nickle came in at 56-57 and about 4 inches deep
Lots of old shot gun primers laying around also.

That is a lot of disc for the OMEGA I use about 16

anything below 40 has been a modern bullet for me so far
Im curious.... what kind of finds below 40 have other folks found

PS: cashed in the change i have found so far at one of those dump it in and go machines
385.00 dollars / not to shabby/ that will pay for the batteires for a LONG time :clapping:

I to prefer to keep it all
But if you could have seen the 500 + nasty pennies i dumped into this machine, it was worth it to me ( at least this time )
