2 large cents, war nickel and rosie

Mcdetect

Active member
I hunted an old ghost town today. Very few signals but there was a high return on the few holes I dug. My good finds were two large cents, a war nickel and a rosie!

The better of the large cents looks to be an 1820 which would make it my oldest coin yet. For a large cent it has a surprisingly small date. I'm afraid to pick at the other one for fear of making it worse than it already is. So far I've only hit them with a toothbrush.

Very nice hunt!!

Nice finds they look like most of my large cents,
Mark

I would wager a few more “ghosts” still live there!!!

Really nice, MC!!! That's crazy --you can see a full LIBERTY on that largie!

Those are cool finds. Best of luck on your next hunt.
