2 Questions on the New F75 LTD

shooter

Member
Anyone use the 5" with good success, put PULL-TABS in Notch But tried to take it off (remove the SLASH) can't unselect it, I know I'm doing something stupid.

Turn it off with the knob and then press the button. It should be off if you cycle back through to notch again. You have to keep an eye on the lowest notch. Sometimes you can have it on and not realize that it is on until you are in notch and see the slash there, then you turn the knob one click counterclockwise and press the button... same thing.

Thanks for the help.

Dont feel bad shooter,i had the same prob. with the notching!! Havnt tried the 5 in. yet. Heck i havnt got the 11in. down pat yet  LOL Plan on hitting a couple of old home sites next week, will bring the 5 in. along. How do you like the ltd so far??

Awesome alot different then my 1270 & 1265x, but they didn't have all the features to learn.

I absolutely love the 5" coil and employ it 75% of the time on my LTD (using the 11" stock the rest of the time).

I've recently pulled a few silver dimes at 7-8" deep. One of the dimes was using 2F tone, BP mode, 0 disc, sens. @ 95 in moderate/moist soil. The other dimes came while using 4H, BP mode, 0 disc. and 92 sens, also in moderate/moist soil.

I went out last night and with no rain in 5 days the ground was rock hard. I strugged to get a good I.D. at 6" and got fooled by a few deep nails that were 8-9" deep. I knew better before I dug, but took the bait anyway.

The 5" coil is simply outstanding in the trash and as wharghoul stated, gets great depth. As much or more then a lot of detectors with bigger coils. HH jim tn

Love it, nothing like the 1270. And the 5" works great and goes deep...
