2 tone ferrous yields my first Barber 25, plus

Checked out a new spot tonight and tried 2 tone ferrous. First hit was a 1958 dime, second hit was a 1943 war nickle. Then tons of clad.. just kept walking over it. I had to turn my killer B's down. Got a 08-48 reading (i think it was 0:geek: but 48 was constant. Dug the plug stuck in the probe, lost audio and pulled out a rusty square nail. I sat there wondering WHY ? I shouldn't have 08-48 with good audio. Stuck the sunray back in and pulled out my first barber quarter. 1897 in not bad shape... First time ever I pulled a nail off a silver coin. A few minuets later another good 48, cut the plug and there was a silver dollar all covered in dirt. I saw an eagle and 1819.. OMG... Turned out to be a 2003 Challenge coin. Still a neat find. 2 Tone ferrous, yup I a believer. I been fighting with camera so will have to post photo later.

Sweet finds, VT, I'm not finding anything like that yet, just a couple of mercs and 4 or 5 rosies, What kind of spot were you hunting? Craig
