today I detected an older home, and no silver but I did dig this super 1913 wheat, and it is a real beauty! Don't dig many in this shape!
Also found this other one that was stamped, thought it was kinda cool

Nice wheaties! Congrats! By the way, I have some of those with the stamp that are like new. They were given to us by the coin dealer and I got them in a cache hunt.

Congrats on the silver from the banks and on finding the nice wheaties! I never seen one stamped either, but that is a Masonic Symbol or Emblem, so maybe they gave them out at their lodge meetings! God Bless! Betty

That is a masonic symbol on the second penny. We had a bit of discussion about them on the Canadian metal detecting forum, and I think giving out a penny or penny-like token as a part of the rituals when your join up

Coin would be nice if it weren't for the symbol.
the symbol is not on the 1913, that is just a common date 1954, that turned a common date wheat into something interesting to dig up

Many years ago when I was young and DUMB, I joined the Masonic Lodge. They assured me that there was nothing that would conflict with my belief in God nor conflict with the bible. So I went ahead and joined them because there were a lot of people I liked and respected that were members, I went so far as to start going through the "chairs" of leadership.

For some reason, definitely the Lord, I started pulling back. I stopped going to their meetings and associating with the members. I even resigned officially, but they gave me a "demit" which technically means I AM still a member even though I desired to and still desire to sever all association with them.

In my readings on the Masonic Lodge by former members like myself, I realized it is a cult and completely contrary to God's word. The oaths you are required to memorise include items totally contrary to the bible. I will not put them on this forum nor will I speak them ever again. I have resigned from the lodge and greatly regret that I was ever associated with it.

I pray that God will forgive me for my stupidity.

MY personal opinion is I would destroy all those coins that have any Masonic symbols stamped into them as they are a mark unworthy of having in my possession or collection and they are a symbol of Satan.

You are right, my ex went through the chairs, but of course with it being secret, he never told me any of them! But from the start I saw through the lodge members and never joined the Eastern Stars. I didn't like my ex belonging to the Masonic Lodge, but there really wasn't anything I could do about it! He wasn't ever what he was supposed to be and claimed to be a Christian for awhile! He says one thing and does another! How glad I am that God interceded and opened my eyes even farther! My uncle belonged too and that is how my ex joined! Neither were or are godly people, my uncle passed away in the 60's! I am not judging....you know them by the fruit they bear....good works by serving God..good fruit and ungodliness bears bad fruit! God Bless! Betty

God Bless you Mark for seeing the truth of the Masons. I came withing one day of joining the lodge. God opened my eyes before it was too late. My father was a Mason, and my one brother is one of the highest ranking Masons in Illinois. I have done extensive research on the Masonic Lodge. One cannot be a true Christian and a Mason at the same time. Not wanting to cause bad feelings with anyone, especially on a great forum like the CMD forum, but God wants the truth out. Thank you again for your stand.
