First good find in UK was in Bedford on a sunny day when I had a break after detecting for several hours.Hedges that surronded the fields was filled with blackberries.Had at least 1 liter everyday,good and nutritios.
I went back out on the fields and the sun was hot and ground very dry.
I had a signal that was fairly good,jumped in at TID 20 on the Xterra705.
Put the spade in the ground and got it up,Was not that deep,2-3 inches..Object in the clod,used the propointer and in there I found something I never seen before.
A bronze artifact that looked Roman or Saxon.Had no idea what it could be.
Well,back in the camping I showed my find to the orginazer and he told me this is a nail cleaner,a Roman nail cleaner,about two thousend years old...yauk... know where it have been for sure...
Fantastic to think that the last person was a roman woman or man using it.I used it as well,works perfectly fine and a thing we all should have cleaning our nails after digging...
I was on all metal,sensitivity 29,treshold 7,using my Panasonic headphones in the warm weather.Really nice tone in them and you can go up to almost full volume without any pain.
I like relics like this.Have some more to show later on.
