I had one of my best years yet in 2004. I stopped digging so many nickel signals and concentrated on higher tones unless I was in a farm field or it was a slow day. Most of the finds were done with an Explorer the rest was with a CZ-3D. I absolutely love the flexiblity of the Explorer when it comes to being able to use coils from 5 inch to 15 inch (and lose no sensitivity to smaller objects) and be able to really clean a site out... It still amazes me what the Explorer will find in hunted hard sites. Almost all of my finds came from public property that has been hunted before which is saying alot about the Explorer. In no particular order...
1 Seated Half Dime
39 Indian Head Pennies
1 Flying Eagle
4 Liberty Nickels
8 Buffalo Nickels
1 Large Cent...
4 Barber Dimes
44 Mercury Dimes
19 Roosevelt Dimes
6 Washington Quarters
2 Standing Liberty Quarters
1 Barber Quarter
1 Seated Dime
500+ Wheaties (342 counted from one site, the rest a pessimistic estimate)
I think I may have to get another display case...
