2004 Totals

Unless there is a major disturbance in the space/time continuem I'm pretty sure this is it for 2004. I did get out the last day of the year and dug a wheatie and a 1915 buffalo nickel. This was after the previous week's subzero weather so that was a treat. Should have headed to a more productive spot.
Anyways:
2 Barber halves (new coin for me)
2 Walkers
1 Franklin (new for explorer)
2 Seated Quarters
5 Barber
1 slick SLQ
5 Washington
13 Seated Dimes
28 Barber
57 Merc
29 Roosies
I finally got my dime grand slam this year.
2 Seated Half-dimes
1 1858 Canadian half-dime
2 Shield Nickels (another first coin ever)
15 V Nickels
29 Buffalo
16 War Nickels
4 Large Cents
106 Indians plus two fatties
620 Wheats
As far as clad; I found more Wheats than Lincoln memorials, more old nickels than new, and more silver dimes than clad. Quarters not even close, but at least the clad ones add up.
This has been my best year for older coins, most seated, barbers, indians, and older nickels. First year had many more newer silver finds. I believe this is partly location and partly operator skill, especially with the nickels.
And I'm still convinced that in trashy areas we are leaving as many as we find.
HH to all
Chris

Grats on the records! How many years have you had the Explorer?

Now all you have to do is six impossible things before breakfast and you can relax for the rest of the year!
