2007 - Halfway point - Coin finds so far

The first six months have been rather good this year, the coins were mostly rather old, and LOL, I noticed I have no Mercs this year!
I usually hunt very little from mid June thru August, due to heat, bugs, and underbrush/grasses being to high at the old former homestead sites. So, it was time to log the coin finds for 2007 up to this point. I will do my relics later.

Very Impressive!!! You sure are finding some really old Coins so far. Nice looking Standing Liberty Quarter and the Seated Quarter is a bit worn but those are always a fun find to make. I really like the condition of the 1845 Large Cent you found. I see there still is a bit of stuff on the back but that sure is an eye catcher! I hope your luck continues on those 1700's Coins and Early Coppers. Hopefully you will land a nice OLD Silver Coin yet in around the same time periods as your early Coins. Continued Success, Good Luck and HH when you get back into the swing of things.

Well, since I started detecting in 1979, I have a cross reference sheet with the site numbers and then a description of the site. Of course no GPS then and I like the site known for what it is and have no problem knowing where the sites are again with this system.

I keep the cross reference sheet on the computer using MS Excel and have a printed copy for a backup and on CD.........

I attached a photo of how I do my coin flips for storage, I use a template I made up in MS Excel, use Matte Photo paper and enter the data and print out the cards. I like this system.
