31 pieces of "keeper" jewelry with 7 gold rings.
Sold all the gold (less one very small ring) for $372.83
I also got 6 ounces of silver from the assayer to which I will assign the value of $90 (not spendable I suppose.)

Spendable cash $978.37

Adding in some extra things like silver coins and rings, which I sold to myself at melt value I consider my 2007 cash total to be $1063.12. I put it all in a special bank account and earned a $25.00 bonus from ING bank as well as $4.08 in interest in 2007. I recently posted that I spent some of my MD cash on a special item but I decided to use some other money instead. The MD money is staying put until at least spring. I like the idea that I'm still finding coins every day while sitting on my ass.

I also have my found money cash which I think Iam going to drink up across a bar next time I go out carousing. Not technically MD loot but I keep it on the same spreadsheet. $57.39.

I'm looking forward to everybody else's totals. I'm really looking forward to the end of the school break and at least a small amount of peace and quiet.

PS Yes I found my share of relics too but I don't put a cash value on them. Found a few old tokens, some cool old pins, a lot of old buttons many of which I sure could be ebayed for something. All the good stuff is going in my book which I figure will be ready in about 2-4 weeks. Lots of sorting and labeling! Next year I'm going to do it as I go.

I have made mention of this before. You and I have very similar MDing styles and totals. I started doing it seriously in June. My next goal is 10,000 total coins. If I can do it before June 26th that would be 10,000 coins in one calendar year. I could do it as long as I get good weather and keep finding good sites.
