What great totals. The clad count I can't even fathom, I am happy for your old coin count this year and your gold count! Congrats!

Ok, Bro Steve, you are a professional, too, but with more years of :detecting: under your belt! I imagine you have a huge total for all the years put together for your coin count and dollar amounts! I have some too, if and when I ever find my book of totals, but didn't keep up with them in the last few years of detecting! It was just enough to go find and clean them, so counting went my the wayside on some! Since I haven't been out this year or much in the last two years.....I don't have much to total! You are doing great (for a tired old body  ) on the nice finds along with all the clad! Playgrounds and parks are full of lost clad, but maybe not now with the economy down with lost jobs and etc. Kids may not be able to get as much money and lose it! But I hope with the big college in AZ, you will still be a big coin hunter and finding some really nice goodies! God Bless you and Nancy in the New Year! She has her own Santa Claus!! YOU! Sister Betty

I must have missed a few of your post. You did well on old coins for your neck of the woods.
How did they conpair with last year?
Greg

post about 2/3 of my hunts. Everyone knows what the same old clad looks like, etc. This year is close, within 1-2 hundred in each category, from last year - which was my best ever. The big difference this past year was in the lesser gold being dug. With the economy people just are not buying (& losing) gold jewelry. The last 5 years I have dug between 30-40 solid gold items each year. My 24 this year is a big drop. Steve
