In my response to John's earlier post I guessed 75-100 rings and broke that down into 4 gold, 30 something silver, 50-60 junkers.
Actual was 4 gold, 1 gold and silver mix, 28 silver, and 48 junkers. 81 total. Some are missing from the picture. One was a class ring that I returned. A few I gave away. I find it odd that I track clad coins down to the fraction but I don't give the same treatment to rings during the year. I do log them but don't add them up until the season is over. I have a lot of polishing and straightening to do, then I'll add them to my display case. Probably do a few a day until they're done. A fun winter project that will help beat the blues.

Useless stats.
I dug 1 ring for every 169 coins recovered.
For the first time ever in one year I found more other (chains, pendants) gold items than rings. 5 to 4.
For the first time ever in one year I found more other (chains, earrings, pins, pendants, medals) silver items than rings. 31 to 28.
Total metal weights (jewelry only):
.4979 ounces of pure gold
7.891 ounces of pure silver
Thanks for looking. Hope to see pics of your 2009 stuff sometime over the winter.
