2009 Silver Coins...

113 is the total silver coins I dug this year with:
1-Three Cent Silver
1-Bust Half Dime
1-Seated Half Dime
5-Seated Dimes
17-Barber Dimes
38-Mercury Dimes
24-Roosevelt Dimes
4-Canadian Dimes(1 Vickie)
3-War Nickels
1-Barber Quarter
2-Standing Liberty Quarters
4-Washington Quarters
1-Walking Liberty Half
1-Franklin Half

Of note: the half dimes were found on the first and the last hunts of the year. Seated half dime at an old park at the beginning of the year. 1831 Bust Half Dime was found last week in a cornfield where I've found 2 other Bust coins before.

How did this year compare with previous years.

I semi-retired Jan.1 and have been able to pick up and go a little more this year. The total is an average year for me but I think I put in alot more hours to get there.
Especially on the road getting to the places that aren't totally hammered. I think I'm going to need a 50 mpg car if I'm going to keep up this driving thing.
My truck gets about half that. I just hate to trade in a good pickup truck.
The parks within 20 miles of me are so pounded that you could literally hunt every day for a week and not get one silver coin!

Nice 2009 you had Neal. That is a lot of shiny stuff. Sorry this response is late...but I have been way beyond busy the last couple of weeks. My dad's health is not good so things have been hectic.
