2014 Deus Totals

One thing I think everyone should take note of is the # of dimes you found versus quarters. That to me tells me the deus is a coin killer. I can think of 1 brand I won't mention seems to have a closer finds ratio of the large silver to dime sized silver. Dimes sure can hide better than say quarters. Deus sniffs them out. And I'll bet next year

And the deus is probably one of the deepest nickel striking detectors. And I have seen a few "experts" say we needed exceptional DEPTH to find the goods. This Deus detector actually defies physics. I haven't tried this but anyway hold a penny and nickel together (touching face to face) sweep once with nickel facing coil and then reverse and sweep with penny facing coil. It seems the Deus will actually give tone on each coin. Tone on the closet coin to coil then the other.
The Deus is kicking butt and taking names. Much more real estate can be covered more efficiently with it than any detector sold in the USA period. Its weight and balance coupled with its superior speed and programming make this possible. Swinging a boat anchor weight detector is far harder to do for longer periods of time. More coil time means higher possibilities for higher #s of finds. So think about it. When you put these 2 together (lightweight/ balance with speed (efficiency) you have a deadly combo. Older people, children, and women are flocking and will flock to Deus in the future.

That's a nice tally of silver you have there! You're right - this detector seems to kill the dimes and smaller items. Last week I found two aluminum buttons smaller than a dime around 4-5" deep - the signal was loud and clear! 12 khz really lights up those smaller items and 18 khz does so even better, but personally I don't think 18 khz is the best choice for coinshooting a house site. Even so, I'd have to agree with Squirrel - the more "coil to the soil" time you have in the field, the better your chances are at finding goodies! Not having to worry about arm fatigue, or stabbing your headphone wires while digging is a big plus for me too, especially on night hunts.
