Does anyone of you that have both of these detectors know how they compare on depth when coinshooting say in a park with a moderate amount of junk. I also will be using for relic hunting civil war items. Thanks in advance!

I know this is the Garrett Forum but i like the MXT much better than the GTI 2500.
The MXT is better balanced and lighter than the GTI. The GTI has many features i don't need.
Who needs treasure talk ? I like Garretts but for me the MXT is a much better detector than the GTI.

I can say I,ve had a fisher Coin Strike and a Whites DFX. I also had a Garrett 1000,1500 and 2000. The Fisher was ok. The Whites was less then expected for a high end detector so I now own a 2500. All Garretts are easy to use . Don't know to much on the Mtx only it run on 14kh which is good for low conductivity targets but not as good on higher targets. There is good and bad in every detector. Just try them out and see which you like.
