256 coil for a 6000 Di Professional good for coins?

I still have my old trusty 6000 Di with the 8" coil from 1980s. I know it's obsolete but I always liked that machine as I found quite a bit with it over the years

I know coil selection is slim as it has the 6B coil. However I can pick up a 6B Blue Max 256 11" for it. Question is will it be decent for a bit more depth on coins in fairly cleaner areas? I max out at 6+ with the 8" and was hoping to maybe get another inch or so.

Yes I have used modern detectors, Whites and Minelabs and have dug coins way deeper than the 6000. But I've always loved that detector and have had lots of good times and memories of back in the day with it and get the urge to go out with it time to time. Love the meter and the knobs and the fact its still holds its own.

Hoping some of you may have had success with using the larger coil.

Thanks

I still bust out the old 6000 di a couple times a year. The 256 is deeper on coins but it is heavy.
