After reading some complaints about the F70, I dug into how the settings were. Turned out it was just a hot rod detector that the factory set the defaults pretty high.
Its like what I tell new motorcycle riders. Just because your bike CAN go 160mph. Doesn't mean you HAVE to go 160mph.
You fellows keep running with this..you know, figuring out at least a few really good optimum settings and where to use them, and we will all have a great 2014.

..good thing we are dispersed around the Country/World and now have some technically minded members that I hope can teach us all a thing or two...I have not yet decided what to focus on hunting for this year, most likely it will be jewelry/clad again since thats always being dropped, with a few opportunistic curbs and tearouts along the way.. It would be cool to do some door knocking and try to get into some older coin locations. Yes we are supposed to start getting rain on top of all this snow this weekend, so I might get out on the melting snowpiles or sledding hills...If Fisher ever decides to make a AtPro Killer...I would think a waterproof to 20' F70 with a more hydrodynamically designed coil, (like the 11"dd with the fins cut off) would do the trick!
