2nd hunt with F70

Was out with my new F70 for second time. Used different setting. Was using the 10" coil. Disc 4, DE mode, Sensitivity 90, Threshold -2, tone 1. These setting with this coil the detector was running completely silent and goes very deep.

I got a very good signal and pulled out an 1880 Indian Head at 8". I put the shovel all the way in and lifted the sod. Took some more dirt out of the hole and target was still there. Started thinking I chasing after nothing good. Took a little more dirt out and it was out. Only problem is the face is all corroded in and edge, the back is great. Doesn't seem worth keeping. I'm going to put it into my change. Got 3 wheats in the 40's and there not good enough to keep. The area I was hunting had a lot clay.

Overall I'm happy with the detector.

Nice job on the IH. IH's will clean up. A couple of hot peroxide baths usually do the trick, or some period of time soaking in Olive oil. I have found quite a few of those exact tokens. We have a zoo that used them along with some arcades. Good finds and good luck with the F 70. HH jim tn

Thats pretty dang good for the second time out and running hot.:clapping: Where are you at in Mich with clay? Down by the Ohio line?

Cheboygan, MI is loaded with clay where I was detecting. I have dug some Indians in that clay that came out just fine. Ground balance there was 67, most areas are in the 80's.

Looks like a good days haul. Have u ever tried slowing ur swing speed lowerong sensitivity and running in slow mode. Where theres not alot of iron trash u will be amazed at how much accurate depth that the 70 can achieve. I had one for over a year and to me its better than omega8000 any where under any conditions. I owned both at the same time and did extensive side by side testing and f70 was the clear choice for coin hunting. Mastering the slowmode gains u several inches in un cluttered areas. Emi seems less at higher sens settings than omega.......just my observations.......jeremi mann in Alabama:teknetics::csflag::fisher:
