2nd Silver with the Ace 250!

The more hours I put on this the more I enjoy it. So far if it sounds like crap it is. Dug alot of targets just to "see" Found the 51 rosie in my cousins yard w/ wheats and misc old stuff. Now he wants to get one! I went to a 100 year old park 1st signal was the old pocket knife, a good sign but no luck. I did hit a coin signal but it's in or under a root bigger than my wrist so it stayed, kinda had a "clipped" sound off the edge of it so it may be iron, won't know unless I dig up half the tree...... The lead soilder was interesting don't know what's on his head, yall ever dig one of these?? Kinda looks like a mold sprue? Had the unit set on 4 bars on the sens and it worked like a champ. I also checked some areas I hunted with the 6x9 using the 4 inch, glad to say I did not find any good targets that were missed. Dug several targets @ 4 sens that were brass or copper at depths of about 7 inches or better. Got out and had some fun!!! Now if it will just warm up a bit!!!

TKS Joel!
For the most part I'm using the 6x9 if I get into a spot that real busynoisy/trashy I'll switch to the 4 inch. Also the machine still works great at sens 4....... I'd like to get the 9x12 for beach hunting but I still have my BHID with the 9.5(and my Stingray 2 w/ 8 and 10.5 coils) and if I want to get into the water I can. I'll do some water hunting this summer and prob sell one of them as I'm only in freshwater now  I also have to try both and see which one is more "hotrock" resistant seems to be a few up here.

I dug a lot of hot rocks, including lumps of coal, with my Ace 250 but have never dug one with my GTI 2500. Wonder why? Maybe I imaged them out.

Chris

Oh, dude that 250 rocks!:yo:Congrats on the silver! It's been a while since I've dug up one of those old lead soldiers and never one like that. Pretty cool find, though.WTG! Thanks for sharing. Happy Hunting!

Very nice hunt pal

I've been kinda bummed out going from saltwater pirate and Deep woods CW hunter to - Tot-lot Terminator and Park Lurker not that anything's wrong with this type of hunting just takes some getting used to. On the brightside- No Rattlers, wild hogs,Sharks,Stingrays, now I've got bears! in the woods. Oh my! Oh yeah and lots o rocks! Come on warmer weather!

WTG R n R. nice finds. like the soldiers.

The warm weather is coming, so get the speedo and half shirt ready. Tear it up YOOPER style:rofl:

Interesting collection. Few years back I recovered three Barber coins beneath a big tree root. Took a bit of digging but well worth it. Tree roots hide a lot of goodies.

Yeah now that I read the post about "fringe" range ID's popping from good coin to iron, I'll have to spend some time digging around the root!
