Well, my last post was a 4 hour hunt at a new site that yielded 3 silver and a bunch of intersting finds. If you remember, last year I detected my church yard, this year I'm detecting the parsonage property. I went after work on Friday, so this time out I only had 2 hours. I did not hunt the front which is where I think most of the "good" finds will be. The pastor is away on vacation and I opted to detect the side and back yard. The side and back yard is smaller and I thought it would be less intrusive if I detected while they are away. They have a dog so I think it'd be barking all the time. Also, they park their camper in the back, and now it is with them on vacation. I picked up the half penny in the dead spot where the camper was along with a few other coins. The IH was on the side of the house in the part of the yard connected to the church yard. I also found the pin and the turtle there. I was using my 12X15 SEF and even it was having a hard time separating. I'm going to need to hit this portion with my smaller coil soon. The quarter was on the far side of the back yard going towards the garage. Anyway, 2 for 2 for silver, so I'm happy.
