2nd weekend out with my new Etrac and Im still shaking. 1850 $20 Gold. Came in at a 12-42 on the deep end of the scale. I thought I had a dime. About 12 inches down I could see the reeded edge, thought it was a half, pulled it up and thought someone painted a half gold then seen the lady liberty, She is alittle rough but Ill take her. Thanx Minelab !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HOLY SCHNIKEYS BATMAN!!!!

I'd be shaking like a wet dog...

You'll be floating for the next month!!!!

Congradulations!

Paul

You have a pic of the reverse side? Would love to see it... Also is there a mint mark? If it's an o it is worth a lot more.....A lot more....

sweet, nice job!!

John,

Atta boy! Great find. Boy those plows can be rough on the big coins for sure too. Can't wait to see it next Friday night. Ought to be a slam dunk on the Golden Eagle award for sure.

John, now you went and spoiled yourself. I have been searching the elusive gold coin for 38 years and nada, YET. You give me hope. She is a beauty, heck I would look at that and not even see the scratch. WTG :clapping:

Guess the plows may have got it a few times over the years. It was in a Grass pasture with horses in it now. My have been a planted field at one time. I am very lucky on this one. I know many of the club members that have hunted over 30 years and have never found a gold coin and I'm only in my 2nd year and got the big one. I do hunt every chance I get, so I have a lot of time invested in this find'. Thanx everyone. JOHN

AWESOME find - that gold coin inspires EVERYONE - the finds are out there - there is more than enough for everyone....
Pick the right place - put in the time and get lucky...

I started as a beach/water hunter with my Excal - I was happy when i found "misery" (finding someones lost jewelry)...
Now as an E-Trac owner i am searching for "history" - old coins and relics...

I have made the transition from "misery" to "history" - and i am VERY happy about that..........
