3.2 to 4

I bought my xp a month or so before 4 came out. Didn't have enough experience to know which is better.

Was wondering if other software changes came with same consternation as this one? When 3 came out, did some claim 2 was better?

Just wondering...

Yes. There will always be the "embracers" and the "naysayers" whenever a change is made......no matter how small.

All depends on what you are used to, if you are getting good results on V2.0 or V3.2 and see no reason to change, then so be it. I'm sure XP make changes for a reason, not only to support new hardware, but also to impliment changes in performance and settings based on consumer feedback. Personally I upgraded from V3.2 which was working just fine for me, though having the new HF and Mi-6 pinpointer an upgrade was always going to be essential.

Program wise it didn't bother me, V4.0 still has fulltones/HOT program, and that's pretty much all I ever use these days. I don't gold detect either, the HF coil in conjunction with V4.0 has proved to be an excellent combo for the iron laced 1800's house sites that I regularly detect.

A hunting buddy and I both run deus, he switched to 4 as soon as it came out, I held back as a wait and see. He has been killing me the last couple of months with silver coins. Hunting the same ground, needless to say I have thrown in the towel and just went to 4. Now just waiting for the rains to stop. Fingers crossed.
