Went back to a reb camp that I dug the lined and tinbacked I's a few weeks ago. No buttons but flats this time but the coins started showing up. A friend dug a 1746 1/2 pillar reale.
This is what I got.

The dates of both coins are 1858. But the question is what is the pig thing between them??? It is made of stamped brass. The only things that have been dug from this site are civil war period items and very new trash, nothing in between. Has any one ever seen anything like it or have any ideas what is could have been??
Thanks and HH
Mike
