Luckily though, I found 3 of them this year. Hopefully next year, I will find that American Seated Half-Dime that I have always been hoping for when I find one of these Coins. Good Luck and HH to you.:detecting:

I'll say winter is coming in with full force... Strong winds, cold windchills, and blowing snow...lots of it!!! I have even been outside shoveling the driveway already James. Nice finds you had to end the year...I got my deer all finished up and managed to make it out for an hour yesterday and was able to pop a couple more wheats and another Indian....no Silver:sad: I am going to clean my machine up and get ready for ice fishing now...The walleyes should start biting any day...It's still a good year when you can detect up into late November here in the state of North Dakota though...Have a good winter! See ya in a couple of weeks!:detecting:

I love finding that Silver and I hope it continues for a few more years but a lot of the sites around here are starting to dry up. Now one has to drive a bit to get Silver in the quantity I do but it is always nice to get out and Explore different Towns and the Country Side. Glad you like my Silver results and Good Luck and HH to you.:super:

I got 23 more Silver than I expected to. Originally, I was shooting for 300 and I met that so I am still stoked about the 23 extra Silver. I just hope to get that many next season! When I get around to it, I will be posting some Pic's of all the Silver and the other Coins I found this year. Keep that Gold and Silver comin' Skully and Good Luck and HH on your next adventure in your neck of the woods.:yo:

Yes the bigger coils will get you deeper but they also can help unmask the shallow silver (less than 8 inches) with trash on top such as nails and caps and such (Things the smaller coils picked up as stronger signals) than the silver. Try it in both really dry weather and also really damp, some soils it's an either or deal, depending on mineral content. I wasn't sure if you understood my original post, which is why I further explained it here. As much silver as you're still pulling from those fair grounds, you just may never need to try this anyway:thumbup:

Most of the Fairgrounds around this area have been dug up at one point in time with only a few being as close to original as one can get, so some of the Older Coins in some cases are Shallow also which makes digging Clad a little fun to dig since you never know if it will be something good. This will be interesting to see if I can't land something with the Sunray X-12 next season from some of my Heavily Hit Sites. Thanks for further explaining your other post and Good Luck and HH to you.

Congrats on the silver and all the finds. It was a balmy -15 degrees here in N.E. Montana last night.I think I'm done for the year too.Bill

The only way a person around here is going to do any Treasure Hunting is either by doing Research and digging into the past or buying a Pick and detecting Farm Fields where School Houses and other places were at one time. Thanks on the Silver and Good Luck and HH to you next season Bill.
