3 more Indians joined the tribe.

Got a late start this morning because I waited until the temperature hit 30 degrees before I ventured out. Hit the same area of the old park where I dug the 5 Indian head cents last weekend. Could only manage about 1 hour of detecting before the brutally cold winds sent me headed for home, Did manage the 1905 Indian head cent (which cleaned up beautifully), a couple of 1920 something Buffalo nickels and a few wheaties. Temperature dropped down to 16 degrees last night and put a little frost back in the ground. Doesn't feel like Spring out there !!!!

Man, Ed that green Indian is pretty ! I havent found one in years, but with one month under my belt with the SE, I know it`s just a matter of time. HH

That is one pretty Indian Head cent. Spring is supposed to be here in NE Ohio but the wind is blowing off Lake Erie keeping things in the 20s & 30s. HH

Nice detail on the IH  Nice clean job too, congrats

Your 2 Buffaloes are 1 more than I have dug in the past 3 years. Your Indian looks great. PJ

Our parks are cleaned out of silver. All thats left are the nickels and deep indian head cents. Over the years I've developed a good ear for digging nickels. Last year I dug over 40 V, Buffalo and war nickels.

Great looking IH. I don't know about everybody else, but I think the IH cent and the 'Buffalo' nickel are two of the nicer looking coins to come out of the Mint.

I'm also partial to the Walking Half, Mercury Dime and Standing Liberty and Barber Quarters. Most of those have eagles on them by coincidence.

The coins nowadays just don't have the style of the coins from the early 1900's. A different time for sure.

Suppose that I might be more partial to seated coins, but I don't find them frequently enough. :sadwalk:
