I've been trying to get out for about 30 minutes at the time and met another detector last Friday. We introduced ourselves and exchanged information and he told me his buddy also detects in the water. Found about 66 cents in clad that day, but glad I met someone in our hobby. Hoping to get a water hunt together with his friend at this place I've been wanting to detect, but held off because I didn't want to detect this spot without someone else around. Hope he gets around to this forum and some others I told him about and posts some of his finds and his friends finds.

Glad you got out Fongu! This is your summer, isn't it? It's 06:00 as I type, snowing, dark out and a temp of -20C / -5F. I just got a call to to go to work, as we have a flu outbreak at work and staff are starting to get it too.

Winter time here, John. Just not winter on steroids and frozen ponds and rivers like in Canada and the other northern states. My favorite time to water detect, tho. Forgot to ask what kind of detectors they used, tho. Looking forward to a water hunt, but will settle for land hunt even tho it wears me out more than the water does.
