305 stuck on pinpoint

Hi guys, anyone ever has the above problem?
No buttons work when pinpoint comes on except power button.
Tried all the usual:
Fresh alkaline of various brands, battery terminals are fine, cleaned both connector plugs + a little rp7 on them
Restarting only gives me 10 seconds or so til locking up again
Any ideas?
I'll get the shakes if she's sent away for long for repair.

Still under warranty? Best to send back, my 705 went to Kco for the tracking button sticking or not coming on at all. It was warranty work and they replaced the entire face and touch pad underneath getting it back to me in 8 days. If not warranty, take it apart, very easy and simple. I did this with my X30 when it was giving me problems with the on/off button cleaned the contacts and the connections with alcohol and works fine. Good Luck!!
