37 year old NOOB having a blast !

1st post :clapping:
I'm a 37 year old NOOB but have wanted to get into treasure hunting for years. I received an ACE 250 on the 10th for my birthday. After taking it to one of the local State Parks & practicing(and digging every hit)LOL, I felt comfortable enough to dig up my front yard. I Found a 1916 Mercury Dime, a 1947 Dime & 1953 Dime(which looks like it was minted yesterday). I AM HAVING A BLAST!

A pic. of the 47' & 53' Dimes.
Of the all the pennies found so far, only 6 were Wheats, the oldest being a 1918 found the first day while I was @ the State Park Beach. Only been able to locate 3 Nickles (most hits have turned out to be beer tabs) & 2 Quarters, oldest being 1970. LOL

Can't beat silver to start with. Good job.

Not sure on the mint mark of the 16' Merc. its not in the best of shape. Hope like hell its a Denver but I think that would be a little too much to ask for. LOL

I'll find my magnifying glass & take a better look.

I looked at it w/ a magnifying glass & it appears to be a "S" MM:thumbdown:

Hey great find for a first time,
there's not much to beat a nice silver. That'll hook you.
We wish you many more like that,

Ian & Eileen
